EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) — the default for 90% of clogs. Injection-molded foam that is lightweight, waterproof, and cheap to produce. Wholesale range roughly US$1.70–3.00 per pair for standard styles; nurse-grade and thicker styles run higher. EVA is what you want for 90% of first orders.
Rubber / TPR — heavier, denser, with better grip. Used for work clogs and premium outdoor styles. Prices from US$2.50–5.00 per pair. If your customer is a nurse or a workshop owner, the grip argument sells itself.
PVC — less common for clogs, more for slippers. Harder feel, lower cost. Mostly used for low-end garden clogs in warm markets.
A few material notes we give every buyer:
- EVA density varies. 40–45° shore hardness is the standard for comfortable clogs; lower-density foam feels soft but wears fast.
- The outsole pattern is where grip lives. A smooth EVA sole is slippery on wet floors — check the pattern on the sample.

Pricing: the real cost structure
A clogs quote has four parts:
- Unit price — US$1.70–3.00 (EVA) or US$2.50–5.00 (rubber) FOB, depending on style, density, and quantity.
- Mold / tooling — one-time US$400–2,000 per style for EVA injection molds. You should own the mold.
- Branding — logo printing or embossing, a small per-pair add-on; embossing is cheapest (mold-integrated).
- Packaging + shipping — poly bags standard; custom boxes cost more. Sea freight is the norm; clogs are bulky but light.
A realistic example from our price list: custom EVA garden clogs at 1,000 pairs land around US$2.20–2.80/pair FOB with a one-time mold fee of US$600–1,200. Volume orders of 10,000+ typically cut the unit price 15–25%.
